Preschool grad!

Dear Blake,

You recently had your preschool graduation.   I can’t believe you are all done and will be going to kindergarten in the fall.   There was a little concert of songs performed and then you all went back to put on your caps.  You came walking out to the graduation song and waited in line for them to call your name and walk across the stage.  It made me cry to see you go accept your little diploma and graduate!  Then they said “Congrats to the class of…2030!”  That will be here before we know it.  Please stop growing up.

Library card

Dear Blake,

Over the weekend I took you and Owen to the library and you got your first library card!  You were excited and wrote your own name on the back of the card all by yourself and even got a sticker for it!  Then of course you went and picked out books about garbage trucks and even a garbage truck movie!  I can’t wait to take you back!

New cousin!

Dear Blake,

A few days ago you got a new cousin!  Cousin Rory Joseph, born to TT and Uncle Colin.  On Easter you got to meet him for the first time.  You were so excited to meet your cousin and did such a great job being around him.  I can’t wait for you and Owen to grow up with a cousin and play with him and have him as your friend!  It will be so fun to watch you all be together!  It was such a great moment!

Registered Kindergartener!

Dear Blake,

You are officially a registered Kindergartener!  I can’t believe you are all signed up for Kindergarten next year.   Time flies and you’re going to be 5 years old soon.

We are also going to Winsconsin Dells for the first time!  We will be going to a water park and indoor theme park!  I can’t wait to have so much fun with you!

Our New House

Dear Blake,

We are finally moved in!  We have a new house!  It’s been a crazy couple of days but we did it!  We moved in before Christmas and even hosted Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!  I am so happy to see you love your new house and to see you so happy when you got all your toys back from the boxes.

Mama

New house

Dear Blake,

In one week we will be in our new house!  It feels like forever we have been waiting for this.  Only a few days left.  We have been out of our old house since April and have been building a new house.  Finally, the day is coming soon!  You will have your old bed back and all your toys.  Everytime someone asks you where a certain toy or stuffed animal is, you tell them “It’s in the Pod!”  Well, we finally will be able to get it back!  We have been driving by almost every day to look at it and see what new thing they have done to it.  I can’t wait to move in, in a few days and start our life in our new, forever home.  This will be the house that you will grow up in and I can assure you, we are never moving again!  I can’t wait to show you our brand new house and all the wonderful things that you will discover there!

Letter to Santa

Dear Blake,

The other day I helped you write a letter to Santa and tell him the things you wanted for Christmas.  We took it to the New Lenox Village Hall where they have a huge Santa and a mailbox to deliver your letter.  You were so excited to put your letter in the mailbox and see the new lights they put up!  It was a great night that I hope we can carry on that tradition for many more years!

Halloween

Dear Blake,

Yesterday your dream came true of being a garbage man, because you were one for Halloween!  I had got you a WM (waste management) shirt and made you a WM hat and you wore a yellow safety vest and carried a garbage truck shaped box to collect your candy in.  You were the cutest garbage man ever!  You had said you wanted to be that since last year so it was a long time coming.  You ended up getting a ton of candy!

Dentist

Dear Blake,

I am soooooooooo proud of you!  Yesterday I took you to the dentist for the second time and you did so well!  You didn’t cry at all, and you let them clean your teeth this time!  You were such a big boy and you were so happy that you did a good job.  They let you pick out a prize and you got a balloon.  I’m so proud of how grown up you got since the last time we went.

Mama

Such a big boy!

Dear Blake,

You just had your last swim lesson of the year and you graduated your level!   You got your last patch and they said next time you come back you will be in the next level.

Yesterday I took you to your first day of 4 year old preschool!  I can’t believe you will go three days a week now and eat a lunch there.  Next year you will be in Kindergarten which is just crazy!  You are just growing up too fast!
Love,

Mama
